No, do not use your head for reading TFM, that's a myth, this camera is quite intuitive to use, but rather use your head for stabilazing the camera mechanically. Here is why and how:

(illustration photo, taken with a Canon G9 and an inverted Nikon AF 50/1.4)

When out and about with the Casio EX-F1 and where using a tripod is not an option, use your head! This is a simple measure which can make a lot of difference in the resulting photo or video clip taken with any camera.

When new to the Casio EX-F1, I was using the nice and bright LCD screen on the back to frame my subjects, but got very shaky footage as a result, even when utilizing walls, trees, my knee to support the lens. The EX-F1 is heavy-weight as compared to your average point-and-shoot digital camera and can make the arm muscles a bit shaky after a while aiming at a subject.

So I figured I should employ the viewfinder. Supporting the camera with your nose or cheek when looking through the viewfinder, can safe your shot. Now, this camera does not have a very user friendly viewfinder, but at the longer end of the zoom or when recording footage, it is instrumental to resonable results in my experience.

When used to the viewfinder on DSLRs, one really has to force oneself to look through the viewfinder on the EX-F1, it is comparably small, dark, ugly. One could also wish it would be less awkward to switch between viewfinder and review on the LCD screen of the taken image, but in the end, a compromized user experience is still better than compromized, i.e. shaky photos or video!

On more experiences with the EX-F1 later, I am still amazed with it.

Stay tuned!
