Today's training session is the Stand Command. We start the exercise with the Heel and when I give the Stand Command the dog shall stop immediately and stay there until she gets a new command. The sooner the dog stops, the better. When we started learning this command I used to throw a treat on the ground behind the dog, so she stopped immediately to look for the treat! :)

Aurora usually does this exercise very well now, but this time she got a bit "out of focus" and she took an extra step after the command was given. Another challenge is to get the dog to stay in the stand position, and not sit down, until the Sit Command is given. Aurora has a tendency to automatically sit down when I approach her, instead of waiting for the command. But we're working on it to get better... :D

treats to Aurora :-)
