Training a Dachshund to jump heights can be sort of fun! Better not start off with too high jumps though; the height of a coffee mug is about right!

A Dachshund is able to jump quite high, but you should be careful not to force the Dachshund to jump too much, too often. Jumping may cause serious back problems, even for well trained dogs. When having the choice between jumping over something and crawling under it, the Dachshund usually choose the latter!
